Dear Everybody,

2007 has been a great year with the progress of such groups like Mandaean Crisis International, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and other groups all of whom are made up of volunteers pushing for the protection of endangered people like the Mandaeans. Although the year ends in a few days time, the good work does not and I’d like to point out a great website to you in the following post.

The Mandaean Youth of Canada is a newly launched website which gives people a lowdown on Mandaean practises and their beliefs. It also serves in organising events for Mandaean Canadians and connecting them to the wider Mandaean community and to the whole world.

Many thanks to Ranya Al Sabti for making the website from top to bottom please do her hard work justice by visiting the website, absorbing the material and signing the guest book!

Mandaean Crisis International

December 23, 2007

Hello Everybody,                                                                          Mandaean Crisis International (MCI) is an advocacy group on Facebook which is run by students and young people who want the world and its governments to know about the hardships facing the Mandaean Diaspora.

The unique point about MCI is that it’s the first group to use a social networking site to push forward the Mandaean Plight and it’s the actions of youthful people with fresh ideas which are essential in helping the Mandaeans survive.

Some of the actions of the MCI include recruiting Facebook members, petitioning, letters to the American government and pushing forward the Mandaean Human Rights Group annual report. Please support them and the Mandaean people!
